Auranga is a place unlike any other, it has been designed throughout with community at it’s heart. A lot of thought has gone into forming strong community connections in Auranga. It shows in the design and location of the Village Square, and the safe, separated footpaths and cycleways that take you there. It is evident in the architecture that creates neighbourly connections and safe streets. And it’s unmistakable in the extensive green spaces, beautiful waterside parks and coastal walkways.
A place you can tell has been planned and designed with care: care for people, care for the environment and care for the futures that will be created here.
Auranga is situated in Karaka Drury, on Manukau Harbour's Pahurehure Inlet. Auranga's master planned community will provide for at least 3,000 dwellings, a retirement village, a village centre, dog-park, jetty, playgrounds, a 5km paved coastal walkway (2.6km completed), 5.7ha of public open space, 1.7ha of neighbourhood reserve, 7ha of esplanade reserve, 15 ha of regenerated eco islands.
